Yummmmmy, when you start craving bread while on an extended pack trip this is a great option. We have it for breakfast and pack the leftovers for afternoon snack. Easy to make and very tasty.

Leftovers? What leftovers? Cache Lake Fryin’ Pan Bread is an awesome addition to any backpacking trip! I’ve tried most of the flavors, and haven’t found one yet that isn’t good. One package makes enough for 4 servings, but it’s so good that 1 or 2 people usually eat it all! This takes a little time and patience to make in the back-country, but it is SOOOOO worth it. My only gripe- sometimes the sweetener hardens and doesn’t always dissolve, even when heated by itself. I’ve gotten around this by making my own- I just dissolve sugar in the water before adding it to the mix.
